Chasing a Dream
Acting for me is that constant desire to communicate. Telling stories is my passion. I want to be able to communicate something real, something tangible, something unseen. In short, that's why I am an actor.
My first film audition was in 2000 for a film called 'The Gift' which was written by Billy Bob Thornton and starred Kate Blanchett, Katie Holmes, Keanu Reeves, J.K. Simmons, and Giovanni Ribisi. I knew very little about the project when I went in to audition for this "Southern" film. I showed up in coveralls, a flannel shirt, and a pair of my dad's work boots. Needless to say, I did not book it and probably thoroughly embarrassed myself but it was clear that was just the start.
It was a biography on acting legend James Earl Jones that convinced me to go to school for acting. "Classically trained" were the words I remember. I was raised in the theatre and it seemed like a good idea at the time and I would go on to graduate and at that point, Film production in Georgia promptly exploded.
Currently based out of Atlanta, I am pursuing Theatrical, Film, TV, and Commercial opportunities.
